Calcium - Day 7 - Throne of Libra
We remember at the Round Table that the twelve thrones do not divide matter: they surround it in order to know it from the whole. At the center remains Excalibur, the axis of calibration, and beneath its invisible blade, the Philosopher’s Stone is formed as the conscious ordering of contemplated matter. For thirteen days, each throne observes the same particle, measures it according to its function, and offers its perspective to the center. At the conclusion of the cycle, Thoth-Merlin gathers the twelve perspectives and seals a new layer of the Stone.
During this cycle, its form is expressed as Calcium: an element with the symbol Ca and atomic number 20. This is the substance we are ordering. Today, particle number 20 of the Philosopher’s Stone enters the Round Table to be observed from the throne of Libra.
Calcium: Throne of Libra
Today we share the perspective of Libra. From this throne, we observe the regulation of Calcium among bone, blood, intestine, and kidney. Libra contemplates a balance that never depends on a single organ, but rather on the relationship between reserves, absorption, excretion, and hormonal signals.
How does Calcium express itself?
Extracellular Calcium concentration is maintained within regulated ranges through a system in which parathyroid hormone, active vitamin D, bone, the kidneys, and the intestine play particularly important roles. When circulating Calcium decreases, the signal of parathyroid hormone increases, promoting renal Calcium retention and contributing to the activation of mechanisms that increase its availability. Active vitamin D, among other functions, promotes its absorption in the intestine.
Calcium balance is also closely related to Phosphate. Together, they form the mineral phase of the skeleton, but their regulation in the extracellular environment requires different movements between organs. Homeostasis arises from dynamic coordination, not from the immobile maintenance of a fixed quantity.
What does it reveal?
When observed from the throne of Libra, Calcium reveals that true balance may require drawing from a reserve, increasing an input, or reducing a loss. There is no single action capable of restoring all proportions.
Excalibur calibrates particle number 20 to move beyond the idea of balance as stillness. Calcium teaches that sustaining a measure requires listening simultaneously to different parts of the system and allowing each one to modify its function when the whole requires it.
How do we integrate it?
At the center of the Round Table, the candle remains lit. It does not represent Calcium or the throne that observes it: it keeps visible the still point around which different organs can adjust their movements without losing their unity. Hold a single affirmation internally: «I allow each part of my system to harmonize with the needs of the whole».
Emotion — Cleansing with the Candle
Light a candle and observe it in silence. Take three slow breaths. With each exhalation, release the fear of drawing upon your own reserves, the guilt of modifying a relationship, and the need to keep all parts exactly the same in order to feel balanced.
Emotion is brought into order through harmony.
Action — Integration into the Body
Pour a glass of water and hold it between both hands. Say three times: «I redistribute my resources to restore balance». Drink slowly, allowing the action to become integrated into the body.
